Between the pass of Pierre Saint-Martin and the Anie Peak, lies a desert of limestone. However, a river runs well here. But to see it you need to have the eyes of a caver as it travels under 400 m of limestone. This cave has a famous name: Pierre Saint-Martin. It was, twice, the deepest cavity in the world with over 1 500 m depth and remains, in the heart of the cavers, a cavity loved and feared at the time. Over 50 km of underground galleries collect several rivers that resurge in daylight after a mysterious journey, 10 km away. For Richard Maire, a geographer and a great explorer, the world is his laboratory. He returned to his first love, accompanied by another explorer, but of the large areas of Central Asia, Priscilla Telmon. He proposed her to follow the path of the drop of water through the rock, through the Pierre. A real caving expedition dubbed undertakes a scientific journey to discover the intimate mechanisms that have created these rivers without stars. Priscilla and him will observe how sinkholes are formed, galleries, concretions and especially the giant chamber of the Verna, which would held easily several cathedrals of Notre-Dame de Paris ... Not to mention the underground life, running against all odds, in the abyss.
